Read the documentation for your board. I have a vague recollection that you will get this error if you have one of the switches on the board in the wrong position ... my recollection may be wrong ... but at least its something for you to look into :)
If the board powers-up and starts a default configuration, eg., blinks LEDs, then I'm sure the FPGA is fine. If you have no idea what to look for, send me the schematic for the board (you don't have enough posts to post a file to the forum, but you can email me via my forum address). hi Dave, thanks very much.. guess was tweaking the wrong siwtch :) all settled now. the RUN PROG switch was the problem.
