What causes the error message below and what can I do about it?

Error (37003): Can't generate Atom Netlist File for device family Arria 10

The 10AS066N3F40I2SGES is an engineering sample that is not supported in 18.1 as far as I know.

The error message occurs in some projects but not in others even though they are equivalent. How do I get rid of it?
