Does Cyclone IV E family support triple speed Ethernet?

Hi to the Alter a community.

I am reading the "Triple speed Ethernet megacore users guide" and I wish to be able to connect an external "PHY" (physical layer) to a Cyclone IV "E", not the "GX". The external Ehternet physical layer transceiver will handle 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet.

The megacore users guide lists the following Cyclone devices as "supported Devices".

Cyclone III,

Cyclone II,

The guide also states that the Cyclone IV device is "preliminary" for this

megacore.

"The IP core is verified with preliminary timing

models for this device family. The core meets all

functional requirements, but might still be

undergoing timing analysis for the device family.

It can be used in production designs with caution."

My question is, I am not sure if the Cyclone devices supported are the "GX",

"LS" or the just plain "E". I am planning on using the EP4C"E"30 not the "GX"

version and I want to be sure that the "E" part can handle the megacore.

Thank You

Tom
