I don't understand what is the difference about megafunction and macrofunction, someone can explain to me? thanks :)

Honored ContributorA macro function is a small Verilog or C (preprocessor) function.
It's usually a single line of code. A megafunction is a term altera uses for their configurable SOPC IP cores. Some of them are free, some you need to pay for. Just look in the Quartus user manual and you will understand what both are.
