DE2-115 Control Panel IR not working

Hi,

I am trying to run the "IR" function from the control Panel (V1.0.1).

I press keys on the the terasic remove but don't see any activity on the screen.

What is the best way to check if the IR is working?

PS: I removed the paper clip and the battery is properly set in the remote
