cyclone 3 starter kit. permanent configuration rom

Is there a way to permanently program a jic file (or other) to the cyclone 3 starter kit, or does it only use sof files download over the usb/blaster interface? aka It would be nice to be able to do ...

You must program the configuration file into the flash memory.

This will work provided your sof file is not time limited, namely if you are not using IP cores in OpenCore evaluation mode: without a usb blaster unit attached the unlicensed modules would stop working.
