Custom Driver affinity

Intel® Network Adapter Driver for Windows 7 23.2 Affinity compability issue

Hello, I'd like to know if it's possible to provide me a modified version of the default Windows 7 x64 adapter, due to incompatibility I would have to run the driver on the third core only, in a 4 core system setup (i5-2500k). I've tried to change values in the .inf file & registry without any luck, the registry key which I assume thats responsible for it seems to be "TargetSet=8" under the Affinity policy at the Enum tree, whenever I set it to "TargetSet=4" it keeps resetting itself as soon as I reboot / re-enable the device.
