Combing two projects?

I have a previous design that includes a top level schematic file, with around 10 custom verilog modules and around 10 megafunction symbols.

I would like to incorporate this into a top level NIOS II system i recently developed in verilog. What would be the best way to accomplish this?

Can NIOS II be used in a schematic top level?

I think i will implement the NIOS as a schematic. It will make things easier to manage this way.

I have created the NIOS in a schematic similar to this project flow:
