Checking Checksum of CPLD data??

As I got replied from Altera tech support that there's no room available to store the checksum of the device we read back, I wondering if there's any commands or tools we can use to have the checksum of the device being read out and then we can save it into txt file with dos command under DOS? Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!
