ByteBlaster 5V parallel port

I have a byteblaster 5V which connect to te PC by the parallel port.

Can I use it to programm a MAXII CPLD with it (changing the 5V signals by 3.3v signals of course and if necessary).

And more to complet this subject, is there one difference between the ByteblasterI and the ByteBlaster II? And this only difference is the voltage level of signals?

I don't see yet the MAXII family, but it's easy to find a PLCC MAX II?

In my case, is it better if I take a MAX3 ?
