Beginners guide to CPLDs

Hi guys

I recently purchased myself a development board based around the EPM240 CPLD chip.

Having no previous experience with either CPLDs for FPGAs, I found it quite a struggle to get started.

Once I'd figured out the basics (with some help from people on the web) I found it surprisingly easy to get going.

I've created a series of articles on my website that start off with installing the Quartus II software and so far go up to building a half adder.

I've used schematic entry as I don't really feel clever enough to start using verilog or VHDL but it's working for me so far.

I thought I'd post a link on here for you guys to share with any beginners you may know.

There are 5 parts online so far. Part 6 will be published in the next couple of days.
