basic modelsim

i anl/syn my vhdl project. click rtl sim. when msim comes up, click the project.

in objects window a 'create wave' for three inputs. then go to the 'wave' window, click on a wave to edit it, but... i can't, it is 'gray'ed out'.

what am i doing wrong???????

    Hi, I have a similar issue as well..

    I am a beginner to using QuartusII and I am learning with the tutorials on the Altera website.

    I did the Introduction to ModelSim's Graphical Waveform Editor once successfully, and now that I am attempting to redo it, I cannot "Create Wave.." anymore.. :(

    1. The drop down window after right-click does not show "Create Wave..";

    2. Wave > Wave Editor > .. too does not allow to "Create Wave.."

    May I know what is my mistake to this error? :(

    I am using ModelSim PE Student Edition...
