Attempting to reinstall Quartis 10.0

I am attempting to reinstall quartus 10.0 on a windows 7 machine. After running the altera uninstall for all the products. I run the setup off the CD and install the file. (even tried changing the directory). The setup says it was completed sucessfully but it does not install the program fully. The only thing that I can see is it is not unpacking the .zip files that it is copying onto the directory.

Any Ideas on what I can do?

    it's like it is not fully uninstalling it and there are reminents in the system so the installer thinks that they are already installed

    Run uninstall from control panel and then delete the folder from the drive in which you had installed before(if it is still there after uninstalling). There should be a file there. Then, restart the machine and try again. I don't see why this is happening but that is the best I can think of.

    thats what I was doing before I started this thread. I have even gone into the registry and removed the keys from there as well
