ALTREMOTE_UPDATE Cyclone IV Active Parallel

Hi, I have a Cyclone IV E, but the curious thing is that even in the user guide of the ALTREMOTE_UPDATE (http://www.altera.com/literature/ug/ug_altremote.pdf page 28) says the legal values to choose are only EPCS or EPCSQ devices, but again on page 25 it says "Cyclone IV E devices support the active parallel (AP) configuration scheme" however it is not explained how to enable this for AP remote update

And it should be supported as mentioned here: http://www.altera.com/literature/hb/cyclone-iv/cyiv-51008.pdf page 2

So now I'm not even sure if I should be using the ALTREMOTE_UPDATE megafunction for this?
