Altera Software Licensing

My Question:

If i want to buy a license for Quartus II Software ( I have the options for Fixed or Float )

I want to buy a Fixed License.

Is it possible to use the NIC ID from a Bluetooth Dongle as the Primary Computer ID ?

So i could use this dongle in connection with the license.dat file on other computers.

    Hi,

    afaik you have to specify the NIC ID the license is "tied to". Thus that sounds feasible, as this seems to be same like installing a PCI ethernet card on different PCs. Nevertheless we're talking about a serious amount of money, thus I think best is to adress this @Altera directly before ordering.
