After an EPLD fails data retention (e.g. EPM9480RC240 or EPM7128SQ100), can they be reprogrammed with the same data retention characteristics?

In the process of troubleshooting a CCA, I found that the EPLD didn't match the expected value. I was able to reprogram it successfully. Not sure if it will hold its programming for the same data retention period. I have other devices on the CCA that are ok. I'm wondering if I should "refresh" them by reprogramming them.​
