a question about liscening

why do i find the number in DVD is 11-digit with the beginning not 'A', while it is requested that the serial number is 14-digit with a 'A' beginning? I ask for your help!

thank you for your reply! But i have another question: i may lost the serial number for subscription edition, how can i re-get it or have some remedy?
