wrong pin connections for the D5M in DE2 Demo

I noticed in the demo for the DE2 Altera board that the GPIO_1 connections does not match the specifications given by the user manual. for example, I noticed that GPIO_1[16] was used for the CCD_MCLK and not GPIO![18] which is the pin connected to the XCLKIN pin of the camera module. However the case, when I changed the pin in the demo code, the result went wrong (looking into the lcd touch LTM). the correct pin is still [16]. I don't understand why this is so.
