use analog input of DE2 board for project of solar

Hello,

Project must be done on DE2 board. the mean is to use FPGA to accelarte the time of executing of some algorithm

my question is :

i have solar panel (12 volts and current 7 A) , so i would use this two informations like input in the DE2 borad

but i don't know wich analog port i should using ?

also i should decrease the value of tension and current before using in board ?

also i would to know if the analog input of DE2 borad work with DC (current and tension ) because the solar panel give the DC (tension and current)

if somebody have some solutions !
