Purchase on JTAG cable

Question

Hi all,I have Stratix 10 Tx Development kit and I'm trying to run the PAR file of Stratix10_PCIeGen3x8_DMA_18_0.I'm trying to program the FPGA after the compilation.Because it's the first time for me to program the FPGA, do I need to purchase 10-pin JTAG cable to program the FPGA?Currently, I'm trying to program my FPGA with the USB b-type cable.I searched some posts, but I couldn't find the appropriate answer for this question.Best Regards,

Hi,devkit user and quick start guide should be your first information source. They clearly state that embedded download cable is the usual method, see user guide chapter 4.4.1.

Farabi,Thanks for your reply.Yes, right. According to the user's guide, USB-blaster II replaces the JTAG cable. That is the embedded version in the FPGA kit.I think that I don't need the JTAG cable to oeprate it. Am I right?

There is no need to buy another JTAG cable or USB Blaster because it already installed on the board. You may just use On-board FPGA download cable (CN1). Thank YouELINA
