Programming Flash on Altera Cyclone III Starter Board

Hi,

Does anyone know if I need a JTAG cable or I can use the USB Blaster on Quartus to program the FLASH on the board? Download my own program once it powers up instead of the LED counters that it has already loaded. I read the user guide and its should be fine with the USB blaster but just not quite sure.

    Yes, the configuration can be updated by the on-board USB Blaster. User guide Appendix A. programming the configuration flash device gives a detailed description of the procedure.
