Problems with tcl scripts

I have problem with tcl scripts. I want to use them to load and read memory as I can using In-System Memory Content Editor. In command shell I type:

quartus_stp --tcl_eval begin_memory_edit -hardware_name "USB-Blaster \[USB-0\]" -device_name "@1: EP3C25 (0x020F30DD)"

(that's my device) and everything is OK. But when I want to do something else, for example:

quartus_stp --tcl_eval end_memory_edit

I receive ERROR - A memory edit sequence has not been started.

What did I do wrong? I programmed my device using Programmer.
