NIOS II & DO-254

I am looking for documentation regarding the NIOS II processor with regard

to DO-254 COTS IP implementation, specifically :-

1. The COTS IP has been verified by following a trustworthy and reliable process, and the verification covers the specific use case for the COTS IP (including the used scale for scalable IP and the IP functions selected for selectable functions).

2. The known errors and limitations are available to the IP user, and there is a process to provide updated information to the IP user

3. The COTS IP has service experience data that shows reliable operation for the specific MACC II use case for the COTS IP

Does anyone know where I can get info on these items ?

    Dear jeny38mark

Thank you so much this helps a lot ! Sorry to ask this but do you work for Altera and this can be taken as an "official statement" from Altera ? If no - do you have any documentation from Altera that states what you said ?

Also, besides the documentation that you referenced for the NIOS II DO-254 certifiable cores, does Altera have any info\documentation related to the standard NIOS and Classic NIOS cores and how they "comply" and or were developed to comply with the DO-254 assurance levels ?

Also you mentioned "Intel's Nios II processor has been developed to comply with DO-254 design assurance levels" for the standard NIOS and Classic NIOS cores to what DAL level were they developed ?

    Bets regards

    Shmuel
