NEEK recovering factory settings

Hello

I am familiar with FPGA concept but new at Nios and SOPC subjects. I am working (studying) Nios and SOPC on Cyclone III, Nios II Embedded Evaluation Kit.

When I first got the NEEK it was not in factory settings. I thought that starting from factory settings is better. So that I am trying to recover the factory settings of NEEK but I cannot. I am using the programs from the CD 8.0.1 which is included in the kit, and I am following the instructions in User Guide (August 2008) Appendix C-Restoring the Factory Image chapter but nothing happens except white meaningless stripes on LCD touch panel. What should I do to recover factory settings or is there something wrong with my NEEK?
