LCD on DE0 board

Hi

I'm writin' 'cuz I wanna control an LCD with the cyclonIII on the DE0 board.

I can use any HD44780 compatible LCD with 3.3V high input level, right?

It's the first time I use a LCD, so...anyone has suggestions to give me or just show me a good website? :)
