EPM7128AETI100-7N end of life

I work for Astom Group and we have in some old projects that is still used nowadays.

In one of these projects we are using the Altera EPM7128AETI100-7N, but the Alstom systems are signalizing that this item is obsolete.
So my question is, there are some substitute for this item?

Thank for the attention

Regards
Caue

  • Intel/Altera has no direct substitute for this device. That series has been EOLed.

You might want to look at the Microchip ATF1508ASV series.

They offer direct compatibility to the EPM7128 series and have tools to convert Altera .POF to Microchip .JED files for programming.

I have used the ATF15xx series to replace several EPM7032S and EPM7064S parts using the existing programming files.

Hi ak6dn, thank you so much for this value information.!

This item seams to be perfect, even the I/O working voltage.

Help me with another issue, I'm not finding the Altera EPM7128AETI100-7N pin out, there is any special datasheet or a link with this 100-Pin TQFP pin-out?

      Thank you once again.

    Hi dear,

I'm back to question about the programmer.

There are some programmer for the Altera family that also can program the Microchip ATF1508ASV series?

    Thank you

The programmer hardware itself is not the issue, it is just plain old JTAG protocol and signal levels.

You can connect up a microprocessor I/O ports to the JTAG lines and bit bang program the part, given the right software.

That being said, I opted to use the Atmel ATDH1150USB-K USB CPLD Programmer from Microchip.

It was the easiest solution in the short term, available at major distributors for about US$80.
