EP3SL150 Dev Kit Info

Hello Everybody,

I have a newly purchased EP3SL150 Dev Kit and would like a little input if possible.

1) The board came with U3, U13 and U16 not fitted. Was this done on purpose?

2) Is the factory default MAXII firmware source available? There appears to be almost no documentation beyond the programming mechanism.

3) What's the envisaged usage of the FX2? There appears to be no documentation on this. I can load the EEPROM with a test design, via the PFL mechanism, and see my firmware load into the FPGA with the USB-Blaster mode enabled, but when switching to enable the FX2, no load of the firmware occurs. Are we expected to load the bitstream via the FX2 at run time? If so, is there a working example of this?
