Dev Kit with Quartus II design software including one year license?

Hello,

The "Transceiver Signal Integrity Development Kit, Stratix II GX Edition" Development kit says that comes with "Quartus II design software, including a one year license".

What does it mean "one year license" will I just stop getting software updates at the end of one year or will the software quit working after one year and I will have to pay the $2,500 renewal to keep using it?

    Hi,

    as far as I know you can use Quartus further, but you can't use the updates.
