DE2 Control Panel in Linux

Has anybody been able to get the DE2_Control_Panel.exe file working/communicating with the board on linux?

I can run the application fine using 'wine' but can't do anything with it. If I click on Open, all I see is a 'Non USB port'. I have the device connected to RHEL 4 machine via the USB cable and the cable is working fine (as I can configure the device).

I have programed the board with DE2_Control_Panel.sof. Then I launched the .exe using 'wine'.
