cyclone II buzzer or sound

i am using the cyclone II DE2 board to do an assignment with the title alarm clock... normally we are using the LED to represent the alarm sound... i would like to ask izit possible that make DE2 pla...

In this context, the GPIOs are those two 40 pin connectors on the DE2.
