Cheapest niosII compatible dev-board (student discount?)

Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap dev-board which is niosII compatible.

As I'm currently enrolled as a student of computer sciences at a university in Germany, I might be eglible for a student discount.

Which board can you recommend?

Looking forward to your replies :)

pete

    Hi,

I have attended a workshop held at Hyderabad - India based on bemicro.

Its was good and very useful. Intend to buy one. Just $ 49.

    Key Features

    ------------

A Complete FPGA Evaluation System in the Palm of Your Hands

Featuring an Altera Cyclone® III FPGA, the BeMicro not only integrates seamlessly into both the Quartus® II FPGA design framework and the Nios® II GNU-based development environment, but it is powerful enough to accommodate even the most complex systems. And finally, eight freely assignable LEDs enable states to be displayed clearly.

    Key Features:

    Altera Cyclone® III FPGA—EP3C16F256C8N

    Altera Nios® II embedded processor

    16 MHz clock oscillator

    Three status LEDs

    Eight user LEDs

    80-pin edge connector

    GKM

    Hi,

yeah I though about getting one of the bemicros, but unfortunately there wasn't a workshop around here where I could get one - and buying it regularly + shipping was quite expensive.:/

    So I got a DE0 from terrasic for 79$ (academic +40$ shipping!!) http://de0.terrasic.com

Although it is a bit more expensive than the bemicro I guess it was a better deal due to the peripherals.

    Thanks for your hints!

p.s.: I hate the shipping costs for fpgas to germany.
