Hi, I know this is not a new thread, but I have the same problem,
I already changed LPT3 to LPT1, and reinstall the drivers but it's still not working, keep giving the same kernel error,
what else could be??
by the way which *.dll file is missing?

Hi I've been reading the same threads as well and experiencing the same problems--Not detecting ByteBlaster cable!
However, one of the threads mentioned about going into the regEdit and changing the dependOnService value from "parport" to "NmPar". This did work and now my Quartus see's ByteBlaster But dont hold your breath too long, because now Quartus is reporting "Kernal Mode driver not installed" ???
Obviously, there's a driver which needs to be installed. So now I going to google it, and if its out there, then I'm going to down load it.
I will post my findings soon.
