Buying a Dev Kit

Hello,

I want to buy a development kit with an ethernet interface 10/100. I could buy a Cyclone III dev board ($199) and a daughter board (hsmc) with an ethernet port but i'm not sure if it's the cheapest option. Also I want to run uClinux with this board. What do you recommend?.

    Hello

Check the price of DE2 kit from Terasic Technologies. He is based on a Cyclone II, but board have more features than kit with Cyclone III.

    Best regards

Thanks Komi for your response. I took a look at terasic site and i like the DE70 board. Does it has an altera's license key to compile and create configurations files for the FPGA?.

    Regards,

    Ivan

    Hello

If I understand well your question you are asking about development software. Quartus Web Edition is available for free. You may create configuration file etc.

Regarding DE2-70 this kit consist the biggest version of Cyclone II - I mean number of multipliers, logic cells etc.

    Best regards
