Super ContributorThe easiest way to make sure you have valid placement is to enable the DDR memory view in the Pin Planner. In the View menu, select the view for the size of your DQS groups (x8) and the Pin Planner will indicate which pins you can/should use for DQ, DQS, and DM.
If you want a more thorough analysis, you can use the Interface Planner tool to select a valid legal location for the entire interface and have it validated on the fly.
