Applying ADC on DE1

I just ordered a DE1 design kit and I want to applay analog to digital converter on the board. There are 4 VGA ADCs. They can be used as regular ADCs? Can someone send me a link or mail with...

This is the link of the DE1 Manual (anyway you'll find it on the dvd provided with the board)

There aren't VGA ADCs but DACs (4bit resistor network as you can read on the manual). If you want an ADCs you need to apply it by yourself (on the Terasic website you can find some useful AD/DA card)
