Why doesn’t the F-Tile Transceiver Toolkit TX and RX reset work in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3?

Description

Due to problems in the F-Tile Transceiver Toolkit in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3, the TX and RX reset in FGT does not work under the following conditions:

1.  The RX channel is receiving data from the RX buffer; and 
2.  The data from the TX channel is loopback to the RX channel via an internal loopback
    

 

Resolution

A patch is available to fix this problem for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 21.3. Download and install Patch 0.16 from the appropriate link below.

• Download patch 0.16 for Linux (Quartus-21.3-0.16-linux.run)
• Download the Readme for patch 0.16 (Quartus-21.3-0.16-readme.txt)

This problem is fixed beginning with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.1.
