Why does the SmartVID (-V) graded Stratix® 10 FPGA device not respond to the master power management controller during the Partial Reconfiguration process?

Description

When using the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.0, if the SmartVID (-V) graded Stratix® 10 FPGA device is configured in PMBus slave mode, the Stratix® 10 FPGA device will not respond to any PMBus commands during the Partial Reconfiguration process. If the master power management controller queries the Stratix® 10 FPGA device for a voltage update during Partial Reconfiguration, the Stratix® 10 FPGA device will not respond.

Resolution

After the Partial Reconfiguration process is complete, the Stratix® 10 FPGA device will respond to the queries again. The master power management controller needs to reissue the queries until it gets a response.
