Why does the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA Secure Device Manager (SDM) hang after an interruption of AVSTx32/x16 configuration?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 20.3 and earlier, when using AVSTx32 or AVSTx16 configuration mode in Intel Agilex® 7 devices, if you interrupt the configuration by pulsing nCONFIG before the device goes into user mode, you might find the Secure Device Manager (SDM) hangs.

Resolution

Recover it using a power cycle.
