Why does the Intel® Stratix® 10 GX 10M device not support the selected mode (ASx4) when programmed using the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Programmer?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v20.4 and below, you can select any configuration scheme when the Intel® Stratix® 10 GX 10M device is selected.

 

However, only the Avalon® streaming interface configuration scheme (AVSTx8) is supported for Intel Stratix 10 GX 10M devices.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resolution

To fix this problem, select the Avalon streaming interface configuration scheme (AVSTx8) or recompile the design in the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software starting from v21.1 and above.
