Why does the ALTGX MegaWizard Plug-In for Stratix IV GX devices not display the Receiver Only option in Basic (PMA Direct) mode?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 10.0 and later, the MegaWizard™ Plug-In Manager may not display the Receiver Only option for Stratix® IV GX ALTGX megafunction in Basic (PMA Direct) mode.

Resolution

To work around this problem, select xN as the subprotocol and then switch back to None as the subprotocol. The MegaWizard Plug-In Manager now displays the Receiver Only option for the Operation Mode.
