Why does Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Power and Thermal Calculator (PTC) Thermal Page display sensors that do not match those specified in the Agilex™ 7 FPGA Power Management User Guide?

Description

The Agilex™ 7 FPGA Power Management User Guide lists available temperature sensor locations and TSDs for different Agilex™ 7 FPGA device densities.

However, due to a problem in Quartus® Prime PTC tool version 23.1, the thermal page displays unavailable sensors that do not match the ones listed as available. This happens for devices whose specifications are currently in the advanced or preliminary stage.

 

 

Resolution

You should consider only the sensors that match the ones displayed as available in the Agilex™ 7 FPGA Power Management User Guide.
