Why does my Megawizard generated Chroma Resampler not compile in Intel® Quartus®?

Description

The attached simple design contains a Chroma Resampler created in the MegaWizard®  flow.  During compilation, the entire mega function disappears and generates the following error messages during Analysis & Synthesis:

Info (12128): Elaborating entity "<your entity name>" for hierarchy "<your entity name>:<your instance name>"
Warning (277001): IP Generator Warning: This module has no ports or interfaces
Info (12021): Found 2 design units, including 1 entities, in source file db/<your entity name>_gn.vhd
...

Warning (12158): Entity "<your entity name>_GN" contains only dangling pins

Resolution

Use Qsys to generate the Chroma Resampler.

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Suite version 14.1.
