Why does my Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA M20K Performance not meet the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA Device Data Sheet specifications?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2, you see that the M20K RAMs in your design do not meet the Fmax performance stated in the Intel Agilex® 7 Device Data Sheet. (Table 32 on page 34)

This problem only affects the following modes in speed grade 4 devices. The table below shows the performance reported by the datasheet and what is reported in Timing Analyzer. The problem is in the M20K timing in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software; the Fmax reported in the Data Sheet is correct.

Resolution

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3.
