Why do I see abnormal behavior when using Intel® Stratix® 10 Remote System Update in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.1?

Description

When using Intel® Stratix® 10 Remote System Update and switching from one image to a corrupted image using Mailbox Client Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA IP command, either the last running image or the next image will be booted up depending on the location of the corruption in the image.

Resolution

Always use the RSU_STATUS command to read out and understand which image is currently loaded.
