Why do I see a fitter error(21843) when bypassing RX auto adaptation for FGT channels by qsf assignments?

Description

You will see fitter errors like the one below when bypassing RX auto adaptation for FGT channels by qsf assignments, as described in chapter 3.12.2. FGT PMA Settings of UG20315.

 

Error(21843): user.bb_f_ux_tx[3] -> IP_INST[0].hw_ip_top|dut|eth_f_0|hip_inst|per_xcvr[3].x_bb_f_ux|x_bb_f_ux_tx

          Error(21843): flux_mode == FLUX_MODE_CPRI

          Error(21843): is_used == TRUE

          Error(21843): location == UX8

 

That is because the qsf assignments in the latest F-Tile Architecture and PMA and FEC Direct PHY IP User Guide are not enough.  Besides the assignments, you should add "set_instance_assignment -name HSSI_PARAMETER "flux_mode=FLUX_MODE_BYPASS" -to <TX_SERIAL_PIN>] -entity" also.

Resolution

The assignments syntax is scheduled to be fixed in the future release of the UG20315.
