Why do I get a Fitter error when compiling LPDDR2 soft memory controller?

Description

You may see the following fitter error when compiling the LPDDR2 soft memory controller in the Quartus® II software version 12.0SP2:

"Error (175020): Illegal constraint of pin to the region (3, 115) to (112, 115): no valid locations in region"

This is due to a problem with a pre-fitter enhancement that has been fixed in the Quartus II software version 12.1.

Compile your design with the Quartus II software version 12.1.
