Why are the number of frame errors sent and detected not the same when using the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Fault Injection Debugger tool?

Description

Due to a known problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v19.3 and later, you may observe that the number of frame errors sent and detected when injecting faults into Intel® Stratix® 10 devices using the Fault Injection Debugger is not the same.

Resolution

This problem is partially fixed in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v21.3. However a reporting discrepancy may still be seen if a fault is injected into a LUT RAM cell. The full fix is scheduled for a later version of the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software.
