Why are the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA F-Series I2C Controller Interface HPS I/O pins not bidirectional in the Platform Designer?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 20.2 and earlier, you might not be able to change the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA F-Series I2C Controller Interface HPS I/O pins to bidirectional in the Platform Designer.

Resolution

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.1.
