Why are Quartus® Prime Programmer versions 19.4 and 20.1 no longer available for download?

Description

Due to security reasons regarding the SDM Firmware added into the FPGA bitstream, you can no longer download Quartus® Prime Programmer versions 19.4 and 20.1.

• Do not use the SDM Firmware of the Quartus® Prime Programmer of these versions. 

Note: This affects Stratix® 10 devices.

 

 

Resolution

If you are using Quartus® Prime Software versions 19.4 and 20.1, use a newer version of the Quartus® Prime Programmer to generate secondary programming files. The SDM Firmware will be inserted during the conversion, allowing you to update the Firmware without recompiling the existing design.
