Why am I seeing “Max Wait Timeout” error or Link Training Failure when running simulations for F-Tile Auto-negotiation and Link Training with Ethernet IP?

Description

For the F-Tile Auto-negotiation and Link Training with the Ethernet IP, if Auto-Negotiation (AN) is disabled, but Link Training (LT) is enabled, the "Max Wait Timeout ” indication is not reliable and you may see an error. 
If Auto-Negotiation (AN) and Link Training (LT) both are enabled, the "Max Wait Timeout" is reliable and can be used.
 

Resolution

Currently there is no workaround for this as disabling Auto-Negotiation (AN) and enabling Link training (LT) is not a valid use case as per IEEE 802.3 specification. This case is only used for debugging purposes, in such a case, max wait timeout should not be used.
